In 1993 she defended her thesis on "Neurophysiological and clinical monitoring, metabolic treatment in acute ischemic stroke." She headed one of the first Russian neurointensive services of the First City Clinical Hospital in Moscow. In 1999 she became one of the initiators of the National Stroke Association creation. She is an author of more than 400 scientific papers and also an owner of seven patents for inventions.
